Why We Built This Site

North Carolina provides several paths to criminal record information, but each source answers a different question. A Wake County booking entry is not the same as a court disposition, and neither is the same as an SBI Right to Review. The Wake County Justice Center in Raleigh is the primary criminal courthouse, while the Sheriff's Records Division and registration functions use other county facilities.
