1. What This Website Is

This privately run reference site does not hold official records, submit filings, retrieve case files, or perform official criminal history checks. It has no relationship with Wake County or North Carolina government.

The content identifies official record custodians, including the Wake County clerk and sheriff, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the website, you agree not to:

• Stalk, threaten, or harass another person with information found here
• Use the content for a decision governed by the FCRA
• Violate a federal, North Carolina, or local law
• Gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system
• Use bots, scraping software, or other automated collection tools
• Disrupt performance or prevent another visitor from using the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this website or a linked service may not be used to threaten, stalk, intimidate, harass, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. North Carolina G.S. 14-208.10 makes specified registry data public, but that access does not permit vigilantism. The state registry warns that threats, stalking, intimidation, harassment, and other crimes may be prosecuted under the law governing the conduct. The North Carolina Public Records Law also does not transform restricted investigative material into an open file.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website does not create a consumer report, credit report, or background screening product and is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Visitors may not use its content or a linked tool to:

• Make hiring or firing decisions
• Evaluate an applicant for housing
• Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
• Determine access to a license, permit, or government benefit
• Carry out another purpose controlled by the FCRA

A lawful official check required by statute must be obtained through the authorized channel, such as the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation or an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot decide how a Wake County charge, conviction, warrant, or North Carolina expunction statute applies to one person's facts. A licensed North Carolina attorney should answer that question.

Official Wake County access remains subject to the North Carolina Public Records Law, G.S. 7A-109, and the criminal-record restrictions that apply to the requested material.

14. Severability
